It aims at facilitating the daily mobile engagement, reaching users outside the app and providing them with timely, relevant information so that they are pleased to launch the app again.

It aims at facilitating the daily mobile engagement, reaching users outside the app and providing them with timely, relevant information so that they are pleased to launch the app again.
Challenge
When hundred apps are installed in each person’s phone, only the most frequently used ones would be put on the menu. It is so easy to forget other downloaded apps. When users think they are no longer using the apps, they will uninstall them. If we are not sure how often users use an app, how can we make the app stand out among other apps in their phones? Also, some apps are designed to provide users with updated news and real-time information. It could be annoying and even impossible for users to stay in a certain app and keep checking updates every few minutes.
Solution
To create mobile engagement, Notify gives our clients full control in scheduling their notification marketing campaigns. Via Content Management System, app owners can set specific time to send out notifications. The scale of recipients varies from app to app. In order to provide reliable and scalable service at low cost, Notify is using Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) at Amazon Web Service, the largest cloud service platform in the world.

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is a web service providing resizable compute capacity in the cloud. As the number of app users varies from time to time, like our HKIA app developed for Hong Kong International Airport, it serves thousands of traveler users. The number of users varies throughout the year, as there are high seasons and low seasons. Amazon EC2 enables Notify to increase or decrease capacity within minutes. Therefore our clients’ apps can automatically scale themselves up and down depending on their own needs.
Our clients only need to pay a very low rate for the compute capacity they actually consume. On-Demand Instances let them pay for compute capacity by the hour with no long-term commitments. This frees our clients from the costs and complexities of planning, purchasing, and maintaining hardware and transforms what are commonly large fixed costs into much smaller variable costs.
Working in conjunction with Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, Amazon EC2 provides security and robust networking functionality for Notify and data stored.
Then Notify server will pass notification commands through IOS and Android servers to end-users. Except push notification, Notify can help clients to further expand their marketing campaigns via its In-App " Messages and Message " Center features.

When users launch the app, in-app messages will show up at the bottom or on top of the screen like an advertisement banner that would not be opted out. This enables our clients to reach most of their app audience.

Message Centre is a full-page content designer feature to save clients’ time on composing a message in app. Pre-designed templates allow clients to rapidly upload images for a welcome message, discount, product information and more. The full-page message will reach all app audiences as it pops up automatically when users run the app.

Notify maximizes clients’ reach to customers and app users in a cost-effective way; it has been helping our clients to leave good impressions to users in delivering all kinds of messages, especially the educational, marketing, and servicing ones.

Insight
Building continuous connection with end users is key to increase users’ app engagement. We would suggest our clients to apply our Notify Push Notification service in their apps. While pushing notifications to users can remind them of the app and keep users from deleting it, it also drives users back to the app. Delivering compelling messages can increase usage of the app, thus helping to retain audience.

Push Notification does not only serve as a marketing channel with a few lines of the hottest news, updates, discounts and rewards to attract users to open the app, it also alerts and updates users with the latest conditions like traffic news, the gate change of a flight, severe weather warnings and so on.
